We offer composites for most marine components: from the hull above and below the waterline, sides & decks, superstructures, bulkheads and stringers to transoms, floors & interiors.
We combine the manufacture and supply of innovative, durable, industry-leading foam core products with in-house technical expertise and engineering support.
Tricast is our range of rigid polyurethane (PU) foam sheets with the exception of Tricast 2T which is polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam. The Tricast range is highly versatile offering a variety of possible uses.
Commonly used as core materials, ranging in density from 32kg/m3 to 96kg/m3 all densities can be used as shaping media for models or GRP formers, insulation, floatation, even as a structural part of a composite.
Tancast is our range of polyurethane (PU) foam, Tancast can be easily machined enabling small prototypes to be made and can also be used in the model making industry.
Densities range from 128 kg/m3 to 320 kg/m3
each has a variety of physical properties, one of which could be suitable for your application.
Tripor is our range of a two-part liquid polyurethane foam system, designed for easy use by inexperienced operators with simple tools. Liquid components A and B when mixed, react to form a foam structure.
Trident Foams is proud to be the official UK distributor of the AIREX® and BALTEK® range of products.
The AIREX® range of products and their applications now benefits from Tridents logistical systems and all its cutting and shaping facilities which can be applied to the AIREX® materials.
There are several finishing options available for the AIREX® and BALTEK® products. View our ‘Finishing Options’ section.
PMI is a specially developed foam for use as a structural core which is ideal for vacuum infusion processing. PMI is utilized in the aerospace industry and can be used in the manufacture of sports equipment with resin injection processing to reduce the weight. With PMI it is possible to produce sandwich components in a single step (co-curing), resulting in reduced overall production time.
PVC offers optimal stiffness-to-weight ratio, excellent impact strength, thermal insulation, low resin absorption, water resistance, and high fatigue resistance. It also has great fire resistance and can self-extinguish. PVC is easy to work it can be rolled, cut etc. PVC can be applied to different industries such as Marine, Rail, Renewable energy, sports etc.
